Optimising cross-cut saw KP 900 Easy Cut is designed for companies that process solid wood and put maximum emphasis on quality and yield of their production. Optimising cross-cut saw KP 900 Easy Cut is used for cutting out defects and optimising fixed lengths of blades in the production of wood blocks, boards, massive furniture parts, floors, floor boards, planks, packages, etc.
The solid and robust design of optimizing saw ensures accurate and fast cutting of wood.
Feeding equipment moves shortened material to the cut with high speed and positioning accuracy of ± 0.3 mm (± 0.1 mm – optional).
The operator performs a visual assessment of a piece and marks the location of defects with chalk. The material is put on the input table of the machine – there is an automatic load of the length and marked defects. This information is processed by a powerful NC tools which set a breakdown plan of embedded material. Then the automatic start and shifting of the material into the cut follow. Cut parts at the output from the optimization machines meet the requirements according to the identified defects and specified fixed lengths of material.
Of course, there are security features that ensure the security of work on the rip saw. The machine fulfills the strictest demands on the security of work follows from relevant EC regulations and directives.

Length Optimisation
At the beginning, the lengths and quantities of pieces of the required product range are entered into the piece list. This data can be subsequently activated in the optimization program. This consists in a combination of individually selected lengths of the cut product range for purpose of minimizing waste. The piece list also monitors the cut quantity of material and interrupts the work upon completing the task in the entered product range. The saw automatically admeasures the length of the inserted material, so it is possible to combine more inserted lengths without the necessity of the previous sorting. It is possible to set the required length of the face incision.
At the rear belt conveyor, there are positions for sorting according to the timber lengths. Individual ejectors are started at the moment when there is a cut part of the needed length near them. Sorting is performed by throwing into prepared boxes.
The number of optimized lengths is unlimited.
Quality Optimisation
Timber handling according to quality allows for using the working cycle of previous functions together with the possibility of marking timber defects using chalk. The operator will perform a visual evaluation of the piece, mark the defective points with chalk, which must be cut out. The chalk contains a substance registered by the control system of the saw. By moving the stopper above the cut material during the return movement, the current positions of needed cuts are registered. The created parts in various lengths between the cut-out defects are automatically measured and cut using the computer to fixed lengths according to the optimised cutting scheme. The piece list determines the number of cut pieces of the length in question. If the cut part does not meet the length of the smallest chosen product range, it goes to waste.
At the rear belt conveyor, there are positions for sorting according to timber lengths. Individual ejectors are started at the moment, when there is a cut part of the needed length near them. Sorting is performed by throwing into prepared boxes.
Statistics
A part of the NC control of the machine is statistics, which register the number of cut running meters, the number of quality parts, and the quantity of waste. It is therefore e.g. possible to simply compare the quality of the input wood from various suppliers, calculate the overall volume of produced product range (with identical widths), etc. The machine also files the actual working time, which can be used by the production section manager e.g. for checking of work performances.
At the same time, there is a possibility of output to a printer and remote administration via PC from an office.
Optimization Line Production Capacity
The production capacity is determined by the dimensions of the processed material, its quality, and produced product ranges. For the calculation, it is possible to use the data about the maximum speed of the feeder 90 m/min. and the speed of one cycle of cutting is about 0.5 seconds.
The saw performance determines the selection from two offered variants of saw KP 900 Easy Cut
(The values state the performance from practical use of saws at users of our machines, not a theoretical machine time, which is frequently presented by foreign suppliers – designed for material of length 5 m, spruce, 30x90 mm, 4 cuts per 1 m)
S – standard - version with higher capacity for production - 500 - 600 m/1 hr
Q – quick - version for maximum capacities - 800 - 900 m/1 hr
Further Possible Expansion of Saw KP 900 Easy Cut
The rear sorting conveyor is with the possibility of length sorting into multiple storage boxes. The system works on the principle of electronic measurement of length and sorting into boxes using ejectors.
The possibility of cutting and subsequent sorting is up to 3 qualitative classes.
Connection with office PC – the possibility of checking in the course of work, entering, and modification of values in the form of remote access.
Continuous regulation of the speed of the saw motor in case of a variable change of the diameter of the saw blade disc and according to the requirement for cut quality. Regulation is performed by the continuous setting of the value via the control panel.
Sided lateral pressure is in the cut (called finger pressure), which increases the accuracy of the plumb cut.
Automatic material feed to the saw. Possibility of connecting into a serial production line via the lateral feed conveyor at the input table. Synchronization of feed and automatic start of the cutting cycle.
Possibility of complementing with many feeding and handling elements in the form of driven and non-driven conveyors.
