Nailing machine for palette production SMPA 500.1 Electric Drive

With the new idea of linear actuators we bring electromechanical drive system of pallets nailing.
The new drive system provides not only easygoing operation, but it also brings significant energy savings so it affects directly the possibility of higher profit per pallet.
Advantages compared to the hydraulic system:
- economy of operation – low energy consumption (2 kWh vs. 8 kWh by the hydraulic system)
- service interval is not required – maintenance of hydraulic system – oil changes, filters, etc.
- ecology – without the need for disposal of oil
- safety – fully complies with European standards
- low noisiness – without necessity to use ear protectors
CONSTRUCTION AND APPLICATION OF THE MACHINE
The SMPA 500.1 ED nailing automated machine is a modern robust construction with the use of an electric-mechanical system for nailing palettes of various types and dimensions.
It is a suitable solution in operating units where it is necessary to perform the high-quality and fast nailing of palettes with a high work productivity and high precision of the nail pattern. It works with bulk nails and the principle of the drive and has the lowest energy input power (2 kWh) in its class. According to its design and price it is used by medium-sized operating units with a production output of approximately 500 – 550 pieces per shift by two employees.
WORK SAFETY
The machine fulfils strict requirements for work safety resulting from the respective EC standards.
SYSTEM OF WORKING ON THE MACHINE
The machine uses the system of nailing a ready palette and the preparation of the lower part (leg) on a common floating table.
- Cubes and lower boards of the lower part of the palette are placed into the working position in the left part of the table (legs).
- The ready lower parts of the palette (legs) are placed into the working position on the right part of the machine on which the operator places the ledge and the horizontal boards of the ready palette.
- After placement, the operator confirms the automatic step of nailing and the machine performs the respective number of nailing beats.
- After the nailing cycle, the ready palette remains in the output part of the machine and the pre-prepared lower parts of the palette (leg) are returned to the starting position.
- The whole cycle is repeated for subsequent operations.
- The ready palette is manually removed from the output part of the machine by the operator or the palette can pass onto the further processing operation of the palettes into the SMOP line.
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION OF THE MACHINE
- the machine enables to nail palettes of various types and dimensions according to the used template (2-way palettes; 4-way palettes)
- maximum dimensions of palettes width x length 1200×1500 mm (1500×1500 without the preparation of legs)
- minimum dimensions of palettes width x length 700×600 mm
- option of prolongation of the table with the option to produce palettes with a maximum length of 2500 mm
- the standard variant of the machine is equipped with a universal adjustable template
- the machine operates with all available bulk nails (l=27–90 mm), including EPAL nails
- standard box 3×10 outlets for the use of three types of nails (option box 12 outlets, option 4. box)
- standard variant 26 pieces of hammers (option up to 44 hammers)
- minimum span of nails 25 mm
- tolerance of the maximum precision of the position of beats +/- 1mm
ASSEMBLY OF THE MACHINE INTO THE PROCESSING LINE OF SMOP PALETTES
The recommended option is to assemble the SMPA 500.1 ED machine into the complete processing line of SMOP palettes. The SMOP machine enables the marking, cutting of corners, milling and stacking of palettes.
