FLS 170 One-blade Ripsaw

Usage

The highly versatile FLS 170 saw finds its application both in medium and large and small businesses. Using the FLS 170 saw, it is possible to cut prisms, battens, joists, and large-area material. The input materials can be trimmed, swept, formatted, produce blanks and lamellas. It is also possible to cut askew and bevel. The advantage of the machine is the high speed and accuracy of individual cuts and the high level of flexibility of input and output dimensions of the processed material.

Saw Layout and Principle

The cut material, freely seated at the workbench, is longitudinally cut using the moving saw disc. After the end of the cut the saw disc is inserted below the workbench of the saw and moves into the initial position. The rear longitudinal stopper (rule) also automatically moves the cut material to the new value of cut width.

Possibilities of Processing Material using the FLS 170 Saw

The rear stopper of the machine allows for easy and fast setting of the cutting width. The values can be selected automatically using three program systems:

Absolute setting – allows for automatic travel to the selected value of the wood width

Chain setting – automatic movement by the entered value (loss of the total width + cutting gap)

Optimising system – automatic combinations of widths in a single material according to the operator pre-selected values (optimisation of width to maximum yield)

All types of control are contained in the standard machine design. The continuously regulated travel of the disc at a speed of 1–80 m/min. guarantees high cutting performance. The disc stroke regulation guarantees clean and quality cut area. Replacement of the saw disc takes place easily and safely with the possibility of quick-clamping of the saw disc. The saw can be equipped with a laser, whose beam marks the cutting path on the material and allows for accurate cut setting.

Solidity and Precision

The robust and rigid machine frame is made as a self-bearing steel structure with a central support, high clear height, together with the precision guidance of the saw aggregate is a guarantee of long service life. The machine structure is based on CE and GS safety standards.
